891.0. "Runt on CD" by COMET::STEWART (Beep if you Bop) Wed Sep 02 1987 23:55

Finally, Todd Rundgren on CD. I've seen Runt and The Ballad of
Todd Rundgren. It seems to me I also saw a third but, alas, I
    cannot recall which one.

One CD I'm really looking forward to is A Wizard A True Star.
A Cappella would also be nice.

Yes, I've seen _Todd_, a couple by Utopia, and _Faithful_.

I'm also looking for A Wizard A True Star, and the other (fairly
old) double album, the name of which escapes me.

By the way, how many people here have their name on _Todd_?
(or even know what the @#$ I'm talking about?)

Well, I don't have my name on "Todd" but I do know what your talking about.
Nice Poster too...although I prefer the flip side of that poster for a very
*wild* looking "real" picture of the wiz kid!!!

Is your name on there?

Does anyone know if Shaun Cassidy's "Wasp" is part of the deal? Of all the
albums Utopia played on or members guested on, this is the ONE album that is
ACTUALLY a REAL Utopia album, where it's more like Shaun Cassidy is the guest
vocalist rather than Utopia the guest musicians. Shaun's rendition of David
Bowie's "Rebel Rebel" is one of my favourite Utopia performances.

I heard the CD's are remastered by Todd himself. This is enough to interest
me in purchasing some of the albums I like best, such as "Ra", "A Wizard A
True Star", "Faithful", "Oblivion", "POV", "Swing to the Right", "Oops! Wrong
Planet!", "A Cappella", "The Hermit of Mink Hollow" and "Healing".

    RE: .1

I believe the double album you are referring to is
"Something/Anything?". I hear it will be out on CD soon. I love
the album and I would like to know what other album by Todd are
in this same vain (i.e., more pop than eccentric)?

    The real "pop" Todd albums:

    Runt

    Ballad of Todd Rundgren

    Something/Anything

    Tortured Artist Effect

    the Nazz records

    The "eccentric" Todd albums:

    all the rest of them

891.7More and more Todd...UNIVAX::SCHREIBERNoting never goes awayWed Sep 23 1987 12:2111
YIPPEE! I picked up "Something/Anything" and "A Wizard A True Star"
yesterday. I've listened to part of "S/A", it sounds so much better
than my scratchy album. However, it was $29. I haven't even had
a chance to open AWATS, so can't comment on that.

I think I've seen just about all the TR albums that have been mentioned
in this topic except for "A Cappella", and "The Hermit of Mink Hollow",
but since I'm not a big Utopia fan, I haven't been following them
    as closely.
