Here in the UK I purchased what appears to be a UK specific compilation CD of Elvis Presley hits. It's called simply PRESLEY, is a double CD and contains 45 tracks, 26 on the first CD and 19 on the second. The only omissions I can think of are Kissin' Cousins and Guitar Man, but then these were probably not amongst his best releases. The recordings have been digitally remixed and are superb. But the best news is the price. I have seen it in shops here for just over 16 pounds (full price CDs are normally in the 10-12 pounds bracket here). If its available in the US and is a similar price then if you want a CD to fill that Elvis hole in your collection then this has to be for you. Richard Briggs UK SWAS.

Re: .-1 Could you list the songs on this CD? I may have recently bought the American equivalent. Mine has all the top ten hits (and has a title to that effect). | |||||

Stay away from "Return of the Rocker" which clocks out at approx 32 minutes. Mastering is superb, but RCA really ripped some of us on pricing. Also it contains 3 really obscure songs, which, if I weren't a fan, I'd never have heard of - and they ain't that good. I bought it basically for one song (title escapes me), which is the King's shortest charted hit (1:32). What a waste of disc material. The Cruiser |
