| John,
The RECORDS and CLASSIFIED_ADS conferences are certainly both worth
a try. However, $2-3 bucks for a used record is about the most you
can expect (obscure/rare albums excepted). Remember, most albums
eventually wind up in the cutout bin for $3 or so, and they're new.
I'd suggest you look through a used records price guide to see
if you have any rarities.....no sense selling a $15 record for $3.
Another method of disposing of the records is to sell them at a
record convention - although you may have to pay a charge just to
set up your booth, you can at least ask the price you think the
records are worth.
At least you can take comfort in the fact that if you ever want
to sell unwanted CD's, you can get from 1/2 to 2/3's of the price
you paid for it :-).........................

| I know what your saying MUN! I don't expect much more than three
bucks for the ones I just recently bought. Now that I've got the
CD player I doubt I'll ever listen to another album!
Thanks for the infor!

I guess you havn't been to Al Bums on route 9 in Shrewsbury
lately. They are no longer there. in fact the building was
demolished. They have a place in leominster at the Twin city
plaza but i'm not sure if they relocated anywhere in worcester.
if someone knows let me know.

| There IS an "Al Bum's" in Worcester; my brother went there last Friday, in
fact. He gave me the address, but I threw it away since I wasn't interested
in going to Worcester for records (it's funny how buying a GOOD CD player
finally converted me to the benefits of that medium, but I'll start a war if I
dare repeat the disreputable name of the one I bought). Sorry!
It took awhile for it to sink in, when he told me the name. I thought, "How
disgusting!" at first. Then I realised that it was even more disgusting than
I thought, since it's a tacky pun.
