842.0. "John Mayall?" by USWRSL::MAYBR (Dynasties are made to be broken) Mon Aug 03 1987 23:19

Has anyone seen any John Mayall albums on CD yet? I am espcially
looking for either the Turning Point or Greatest Hits.I've noticed
many titles seem to be available on the East Coast that we don't
get out here. Maybe I need some extra shopping $ next time out:

    Thanks,
    Bruce

I've seen quite a bit of John Mayall. I don't recall titles off
hand but I'm pretty sure there was an anthology included. They
were all imports and somewhat pricey ($18-20) which is what held
me back. If you're interested, try calling Vinylmania CD on Carmine
St, Smash CD at St Marks Square, both in Manhattan. I believe they
both do mail orders and will do disc searches.

Are you looking for solo stuff or Bluesbreakers? There's at
least one Bluesbreakers CD, usually found under "Eric Clapton".

There are also two CD's from Castle Communications called WHITE
BOY BLUES and WHITE BOY BLUES II that have some Mayall tracks
(I recommend the discs anyways, if you like blues).

i saw "turning ploint" in both the harvard coop and BCD in harvard
square this weekend. BCD also had a mayall "collector's series"
disc. i didn't check any titles on that disc, though...
