Who else???
The Who "Odds and Sods"
"Who's Missing"
Peter Townshend "Scoop"
Elvis Costello "Taking Liberties"
The Beatles "Rarities"
Cream "Live Cream volumes 1 to 2,000,000"
Jimi Hendrix "Rainbow Bridge"
"War Heroes"
"Midnight Lightning"
"Crash Landing"
etc., etc.
Blind Faith "Blind Faith" CD
The Monkees "Monkee Business"
ETC., ETC., ETC.
Not all of these are on CD or anywhere near 60 minutes in length
but the record company concept of putting out stuff that was
originally deemed "useless" is a hallmark of the industry that wants
to copy-proof your DAT player and tax your blank tapes.
P.S. This is not to imply that the stuff on the REM disk is
trash, it's probably real good (I already have some of the 45s)
it's just that IRS is not all *that* altruistic...

Isn't that the one called "CHRONICLE" ? I have it and it's the next best
thing to owning all their albums. The sound is only fair, but considering
when the originals were taped, I'll live with it.

| The following was extracted from a recent R.E.M. newsletter:
October 3, I.R.S. will release _Eponymous_, a collection of R.E.M. songs.
Election Day - November 8, Warner Bros. will release R.E.M.'s NEW ALBUM.
(Two things to do that day and voting is the other.) The working title
is _Think_Tank_Decoy_. [...] (Sounds as if there may be some mandolin
and a "Pop Song" or two on the new record.) The band plans to tour
sometime after the New Year.
