708.0. "CDs in Hong Kong/China?" by MQFSV1::LEDOUX (This Space Intentionally left Blank) Tue Apr 07 1987 10:43

I beleive note 650 (?) is talking about Hong Kong and
possibly CD's "alien" copies without "copywrite", I
will soon be passing by H.K. but I won't have much time
to search such stores, do anyone have an address or
any kind of information about large store(s) in Hong
Kong that do (or may) sell these weird CDs. I wouldn't
mind buying Abbey Road even if the quality of the CD is
	 attrocious.

If I decide to buy a CD player over there, is the unit
geared for 120V/60Hz? and if so, anybody know a good
honest place to buy something like the Sony D-10?

Also, I will be in Beijing, does anyone ever saw CD's
in China? (traditional chineese music maybe?).

	 Thanks in advance.
	 			Doubtfully yours, Vince.

I wouldn't buy a player in HK. A friend bought one for me on a
trip he took 2 years ago [sony D-50, a D-5 in HK drag]. when it
broke, no-one would/will touch it for less than the cost of a new
    player [low-end, that is].

The word is "copyright", not "copywrite". Think of the phrase,
    "the right to copy".

Sorry. This just happens to be one of my pet peeves.

Think of the action -- when you copy something, you write something
    else...
