706.0. "Magnavox CDB650...where???" by BPOV09::DANEK () Sun Apr 05 1987 17:33

OK, I've read a lot of good things about the Magnavox CDB650. Anyone know
where I can get one?

706.1At Natural SoundBCSE::SWANTSun Apr 05 1987 23:436
    Natural Sound, Framingham, Mass (617) 536-6979

    I called them March 10, 1987 and they claimed to have a Magnavox
    CDB-650 at that time. I have not had a chance to get out there yet.

706.2Consider buying from Musical ConceptsMUDDY::DODGETue Apr 07 1987 16:5917
    If you're considering buying a Magnavox CDB650 and in the near future
    upgrading it internally (ala modifications talked about elsewhere
    in this notes file) you might think about buying it new and modified
    direct from Musical Concepts. (their address is also elsewhere in
    this notes file) The advantage of this is that Musical Concepts
    will give you a warrantee, otherwise modification done subsequent
    to buying from normal dealer will probably void warranty.

    Their modified price is $650 for the 650, includes power supply
    upgrades, better film capacitors, replace RCA output connectors
    with Tiffany's, etc.. Net result? its absolutely lovely...

    Mine is up and running with Tip-Toes and Monster Cable Interlink
    Reference A's.  Quite amazing sound..
