| The latest Digital Audio has an ad for Clash CDs that shows all the
albums. Black Market Clash was not there, but that doesn't surprise
me since it was really just a place to stick most of their non-LP
cuts.

672.2 | "London Calling" = 1 CD | LASSEN::PURMAL | Silly Con Valley Guy | Tue Mar 10 1987 15:46 | 6 |
| Tower Records in Mountain View, California had scads of "London
Calling" CDs. It is on one CD and was priced at $17.99 as opposed
to their usual $14.99. They also had "Give 'em Enough Rope" but
I didn't see the price.

| BCD's latest "what's new/what's coming" flyer lists London Calling
and Sandinista as due this month.
Silly Valley's too far to drive, I'll wait a week.

672.4 | Good Disk! | FURILO::PROPPER | | Thu Mar 19 1987 12:15 | 1 |
| I found it at Lechmere for $19.99 - it's a jammin' disk!

| Did all the music from "London Calling" really fit on one
disk, or did something get cut? I used to have the two-record
set, and I had the impression that it held an above-average
amount of music (i.e., more than 40 minutes per record). Maybe
it just seemed like more:-).

| I was at BCD last night, they still don't have a copy of
"London Calling" but told me it is indeed a single disk
containing all the music from the records. They did have
Sandinista (it's on 2 disks). No, I didn't pick it up, I'm
holding out for "London Calling".

| I saw London Calling at Lechmere in Framingham a couple of days
ago. The single disk was priced at 19.99. It's on CBS so the 20%
off applies.

672.8 | Finally! | BCSE::RYAN | To CD or not CD... | Fri Mar 27 1987 16:22 | 13 |
| I finally got "London Calling", I was starting to think there
was a conspiracy to keep it from me. I got it from Lechmere in
the Pheasant Lane Mall, as .7 said $19.99 minus the 20%
discount. All songs indeed fit comfortably on one disk. Sound
quality is surprisingly poor, however, for a late-seventies
recording. High level of hiss, not much clarity, relatively
dull sound,... But the music is worth it!
If CBS could put that on one disk, why not Chicago II? Ah
well, ours not to wonder why, but to only buy the good
deals:-).
