657.0. "SONY portable D-14 for sale." by HALLEY::CARLETON (Dennis Carleton) Fri Feb 27 1987 09:09

I have a SONY D-14 portable compact disk player that I would like to
sell. I don't know off-hand what features the D-5 and D-7 have, but
from the descriptions that I have read in this file, the D-14 seems
similiar to the D-5. Has anyone ever seen one ? I have seen no mention
of this particular unit anywhere in this notesfile.

  Description:
  The unit's size is 5" X 1 1/2" X 5 1/4". The front panel has the LCD
screen that shows the track number and the elapsed time. There is a
button to switch modes from SEARCH to AMS. There is another button that
when pressed displayes the remaining number of tracks on the disc, and
the time remaining before the end of the last selection. In addition,
the usual buttons are present (>||, >>, <<, and |, and a volume
  control).

  Also:
Also included with this unit is an AC adapter which slides onto the
back of the unit. This adapter provides the required 9V to the unit,
and also contains LINE OUT connectors to connecting to an external
  amplifier.

I bought this unit about 5 months ago and have used it both with
headphones and connected to my stereo, and have been very pleased with
  it. I paid $199. for it, and I'm asking $150. (I'm selling because I
want to buy one of the Pioneer 6-disc units) Contact me via mail at
HALLEY::CARLETON or DTN 237-3508 if interested.

Also for sale: BOSE Roommate speakers (black): asking $175 (2 months
  old)

The D-14 is essentially what was once sold as "D-5 Deluxe" (which
I bought). The player itself is a D-5.
