| I disagree. While it's by no means a *great* disc, I don't find
it objectionable at all. I'll admit that my liking of the material
outweighs any production problems, but I still didn't notice any
really poor mastering.

| Jerry,
Maybe I just didn't like the Rascals as much as I thought I did.
I'll give it another listen tonight, and will be more specific in
the next note.

| I didn't find the disc objectionable. I did read in Goldmine that at
least one track was mastered from a record instead of master tape.

...that's probably why I thought I heard clicks and pops on one cut! I really
liked the Rascal's music. I didn't think it was all that bad...but I have
heard better re-releases of old music. A choice of not getting the disc
because of quality versus not having the music at all...I'll get the disc,
without hesitation.

| Well,
I guess Dick said it better in .4. I listened to the disc again
last night and it's primarily the first 4 or 5 cuts that sound bad
to me. ( Good Lovin not included ) . The rest are OK to decent.
The reason I bought the disk was that I wanted the music and was
willing to take a chance on the quality, I just wasn't as pleased
as I have been with the rest of the disks I have.
