| 651.1 | Any others, besides Harvest and Landing on Water? | BAVIKI::GOOD | Michael Good | Mon Feb 23 1987 12:26 | 9 |
| | Tonight's the Night on CD? Where? Did they have other Young CD's
    there too? The only ones I've seen before are Harvest and Landing
    on Water.

    If they're releasing that one they've GOT to have put out some
    of the more popular ones too - I've heard it was his worst-selling
    album. It's a big favorite of mine though.

| 651.2 | All right! | BCSE::RYAN | To CD or not CD... | Mon Feb 23 1987 17:40 | 9 |
| | Yes, it was also a favorite of mine - I'm glad to hear it's
	out. I'm not surprised about the sound quality - it was an
	exceptionally poor recording in the first place, if I remember
	correctly. When the music's that good I don't complain (too
	much:-) about the sound.

	I have Harvest - that disk has pretty good sound.

| | I found it at a place called Silver Platters in Bellevue, Wash.

    No, they did not have any others and I hope they're on there way.

    I have harvest too, and I think it's great. It's just getting a
    bit tiresome listening to it every time I want to hear Neil. I have
    Landing on the Water and Shocking Pinks as well but they're not the
    kind of NY music I like.

    still waiting,

| 651.4 | Sugar Mountain | NEBVAX::GOSSELIN |  | Wed Mar 04 1987 14:38 | 8 |
| | Ah, Neil Young...one of the best recordings I've ever heard by him
    was a bootleg called (I think), "Sugar Mountain." Sound quality
    was pretty uneven, but the performance was superb. I wonder if it'll
    ever get out on the CD format - I would imagine bootleg CD's will
    be impossible to find, given the manufacturing process. The arguement
    regarding bootlegs not withstanding, I'd love to see them in CD
    format.

    Yep, it is "Sugar Mountain", I've heard it a few times but it's
    been so long I don't remember where. I'd hate to pick my favorite
    Young song but Sugar Mountain has to be in the top 5. The story
    goes that there's was a club in Canada that he used to hang out
    in that was for people under 21 (or so). Young was the oldest in
    the group and he reached the age where he couldn't go there anymore.
    He wrote Sugar Mountain to describe his feelings about it.

    Later, Joni Mitchell wrote "Circle Game" about the same club. There
    are some lines in it about " soon the boy is 20" , and dragging
    your feet to slow the circles down etc.

    Latest Rolling Stone says that Young has re-joined CS+N, they did
    a benefit in Santa Barbara, are planning to tour, and want to do
    and album. It's a pretty encouraging article, I hope it's accurate.
