Are there any CD's covering the works of the Hungarian Composer
Gyorgy Ligeti (he of 2001 soundtrack).
I have tried the usual UK distributors without any luck, so I'm
trying to track down through the import market. A plea to all
you guys with foriegn catalogues etc. - is there anything by
Ligeti on CD ?
Has CD technology reached Hungary yet ?
In anticipation

Yes, the Hungarians produce CDs. Hungartoon discs are listed in Schwann and
seem to be mostly classical.

Green's catalog lists any entry for Gyorgi Ligeti, "Six Bagatelles,"
along with some stuff by Samuel Barber, William Mathias and Mark
Carlson. It's on the Crystal Records label, number CD750.

Ligeti's Requiem, Aventeures, and Nouvelle Aventeures are on
WERGO 60 045-50. old recordings...
I've also seen reference to a CD of ORCHESTRAL SPACE, a record Seiji
Ozawa conducted in the 60's, that has a Ligeti piece on it.
