573.0. "Whither the Racenicas?" by RAYNA::BILLMERS (Meyer Billmers, AI Applications) Wed Dec 17 1986 21:30

OK, so much for "easy" queries (anybody out there own a D7? Anyone like The
Boss?). Here's a toughie...

I like folk music. Not acoustic and bluegrass (well, I like those too, but
that's another note) but ethnic, e.g. Greek, Hungarian, English/Scottish
country, Breton, Rumanian...

Anyone seen any discs around of the folk music of other lands?

	The folks at Green Linnet, who carry a line of UKish folk music
	now have 3 CDs in stock. I placed an order a while ago, and I'm
	still waiting. I've called them and they say they are waiting for
	them to arrive from W. Germany, and will ship as soon as they arrive.
	The 3 they have don't appear to be the utmost in folk, more towards
	hybrid folk rock (I'm assuming something similar to Steeleye Span),
	but I'll let you know. They plan on expanding the line to the more
	hard core folk during the next year.

I have two CD's of Swiss folk music. I doubt you can find them
easily outside Switzerland.
573.3Electric Grammophone?YOUNG::YOUNGFri Jan 16 1987 15:135
    I've gotten a few disks from Electric Grammophone that might qualify.
    Call them and describe what you are looking for.
