555.0. "Trouble with Leo Kottke disc?" by CEDSWS::NEWKERK () Thu Dec 04 1986 00:10

I just got a copy of a new Leo Kottke CD called "A Shout Toward Noon"
on the Private Music label. I seem to be having a problem with this
disc. It plays fine until it gets to track 12 (there are supposed to
be 13 on the disc). About 2-3 minutes into track 12 my player stops
and resets to track 1.

I can't get the player to access track 13 at all, either by playing to
it or by trying to index to it directly. This is the only CD I am
having any problem with. It appears to be clean and free of visible
defects.

Has anyone else gotten this CD and if so, have you had any problems?

Thanks

Oscar

When I drop mine into the player, it only thinks there are 12 tracks.
The cover only lists 12 songs on it. Either you're counting wrong,
or my copy of the disk dropped a song somewhere...

However, the flyer only lists 11 of the 12 tracks (new label, I guess
they're allowed a bug or two:-)

No problem on my disc, either. As Benn says, there are only
12 tracks on the disc, even though the insert lists only 11
and even gets them in the wrong order (it also underestimates
the time on one of them by about a minute). The number and
sequence of tracks on the back "cover" is correct (at least,
it matches what's printed on the CD itself, and with the one
aforementioned exception, the times correspond with those
    listed in the insert).

One of the titles (I forget the title, off-hand) is long enough
to run two lines. Perhaps you're counting that as two titles?

Exactly. Time for new glasses.

Thanks
