552.0. "Art TATUM & Ben WEBSTER ?" by CEDEX::BIJAOUI (Go ahead, Make my Day.) Wed Dec 03 1986 07:23

I'm desperatly in search of a CD (though I have the LP) :

Art TATUM & Ben WEBSTER Quartet

(I think it was edited by VERVE).

Has anybody heard of it ? This a unique recording session with the
    two famous jazz musicians.

I'm in search of someone who could send me some CDs from US
to France (this is where I live), since most of the stores are quite
    poor here.
Then payment would have to be discussed.

I'm looking for Jazz CD, and everything new could interest me (new
Asia, Phil Collins, non-standard Genesis, Journey, etc..

    Thanx by advance,
    Pierre.

This reply probably comes late, but look in the CD-Swap conference,
PYRITE::CDSWAP - you may find help there!

552.2All WEBSTERs listed by Green CatalogPARSEC::PESENTIJPSat Jan 03 1987 19:2719
Not that this means that what you are looking for is
unavailable, but the latest Green Compact Disc Catalog
	lists:

	Ben Webster:
		Big Ben Time
For the Gov'nor - A Tribute to Duke Ellington
	& Don Byas:
		Ben Webster meets Don Byas
	& Oscar Peterson:
		Ben Webster meets Oscar Peterson
	& Coleman Hawkins:
		Encounters

	And that's it.

    Tnx,

I just thought that Verve could edit some LPs in CD format.

Anyway, "Ben Webster meets Oscar Perterson" may interest me. Have
you any idea where I can afford it ? (I'm not sure I'd get in
    France !!...).
