| I don't have any Doors CD's and can't comment on quality but I just
read something that may be of interest to you. There is a Doors
"Best Of" double CD released in France that is supposed to be the
only Doors CD mastered from first generation tapes and the sound
quality is supposed to be significantly better than the regular
releases. It's unfortunate that considering the price of CD's
the companies can't even seek out the best masters from their
own vaults.

| I have both THE DOORS and STRANGE DAYS on CD, and I haven't
noticed any particularly bad noise on them, but then, I
don't seem to be as critical about this as some people are.

| I have THE DOORS, LA WOMAN, WAITING FOR THE SUN on CD and they sound a
lot better than the records I have; I would rate the quality higher
than LED ZEPPELIN 4. However there is always room for improvement.

Yes there is a double "Best Of ..." Import Doors CD. I have
it (I lucked into it), and it's good stuff. Wish I'd found it before
I'd picked up the other(s).

Well, I found my copy of this. Anyone else who may be looking for
the 2-CD set of "The Best of The Doors" -- it's available at Rock
'N' Mania (I was there yesterday -- 2 copies, I bought one) for
$34.99

Just in case anyone is still looking, Rock 'N' Mania had two copies
of this "Best Of ..." CD yesterday (2/11/87).
