Vince Guaraldi wrote the Peanuts music, and everything you remember
fondly from the Christmas TV special is on "A Charlie Brown Christmas."
from Fantasy Records. Strawberries has it.

534.2 | Vince Guraldi trio | APOLLO::GOODWIN | send laywers, guns, and money... | Tue Nov 18 1986 12:15 | 14 |
| I found "It's a Charlie Brown Christmas" By the Vince Guraldi Trio
on CD at Lechemers in Framingham last week nad there where several
copies with the CD christmas music(in the racks not with the christmas
music on the wall).
Vince Guraldi wrote the music - when he was alive - for the Charlie
Brown specials. George Winston performs some of VG's material in
concert although I am not sure if he has recorded any.
George winston will be performing at Symphony Hall in december if
you would like to hear some live

| I have "Music from A boy named Charlie Brown" on reel-reel tape.
Dates back to about 1970 or thereabouts. Lots of luck on finding
it 3on CD though....

534.4 | Great music, lots of hiss | STAR::JACOBI | | Mon Dec 01 1986 17:23 | 10 |
| I just got the Charlie Brown Christmas CD on sale at Lechmere at
20% off of the $16.99 regular price. I love the music, but the
recording quality is pretty bad. There is lots of hiss from the
master tape. In some parts, it sounds like one of my cassette that
my tape deck ate once. I still like the music though, I just long
for the Coke and Zinger music also. :^)

534.6 | Another Vince Guaraldi Trio disc | SARAH::P_DAVIS | Peter Davis, XNY | Thu Dec 18 1986 09:57 | 4 |
| If you like Vince Guaraldi, you might also like the music on "Cast
Your Fate To the Wind," self-described as "Jazz impressions of
'Black Orpheus'". There's some great Latin-sounding jazz on this
disc.
