503.0. "New Rick Wakeman CD" by JUNIOR::STUDIVAN () Mon Oct 20 1986 22:04

Recently in one of my visits to the Strawberries in Natick I came across
a new CD by Rick Wakeman (better known for JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE
EARTH AND THE EIGHT WIVES OF HENRY VIII back around 1975). His new CD is
similar in style to those produced on Windham Hill (piano solos). The
music and sound quality are excellent. I was hesitant at first to buy as it
was on a label that I was not familiar with, but this CD has become one of
my favorite easy listening CD's.

IF anyone is interested:

             Rick Wakeman
             COUNTRY AIRS (Piano Solos)
             CODA Records
             From the Landscape Series
             NAGE 10CD

Last week I was in Cambridge at Boston Compact Disk and they had copies of
ALL Rick Wakeman CD's. All but the most recent one described in my opening
note were imports and carried a ~$29.00 proce tag. I like the earlier
albums, but at $29 a pop I'll wait for the domestic versions.
