<CD prices slashed>
Just saw an ad from Fayad's appliance on Rte 101-A in Nashua. They
are advertizing a fisher AD823 CD player for $129.95. I own one
of these models and have been very satisfied. I don't know how long
the sale is in effect, probably through next week.
They also sell discs for $13.99

I hope this signifies that the market for cd players is becomming
saturated, because this will probably mean that the next generation
of cd players (really 'changers') will hit the market soon. I've
been told that the 50 disc changer from Technics, the SL-P15 was
shelved because it represented too much of an advance for the time
frame [last year], but we can expect it and it's brothers as soon
as the market softens. We seem to be working up towards it with
the 6-disc Pioneer, and now the 10-disc Sony. Still holding out,
and listening to a D-5... - Chris

I just bought a technics personal portable from a local discount
store as a close out, the last one without battery pack. The
discount price 116.00, I priced the same unit the day before
and was quoted 179.95 w/o battery pack. Now out to buy the battery
pack. The unit works fine, as it was only on the counter for 1 day
before I found it.
Now on to the BIG money---buying disks.....

Anyone have any info on the new Kenwood DP750??
I have been looking for a cd player and I'm a little
confused on what to get. can someone shed some light on this?
