| I've got the first two albums (THE DOORS and STRANGE DAYS) on CD.
I haven't heard any hiss except when I intentionally listen for
it. Personally, I'd rather listen to the music. There's certainly
no more noise on the CD than there is on the LP.

| OK, I know, I try to listen to the music too, but I invested so
many $$$ into the CD to get better sound; otherwise I would have
bought a turntable!

| The time lag since the last reply entered may make this old news,
but there is a 9-on-a-scale-of-10-as-far-as-I-am-concerned Doors
disk titled Alive She Cried. This is an excellent collection of
live material previously unavailable. A MUST for true Doors
worshipers. No one ever did G-L-O-R-I-A like JM.
This material is all live performances and sound checks, with
little of the hoots and hollers usually found on live recordings.

RE: .-1
I agree, it is very good. However, my opinions are very biased.
I do have a question concering the Doors on CD. Currently I
know of the following:
Doors (I) - The Doors
- Strange Days
- Waiting For The Sun
- LA Woman
- Alive She Cried
- 2 CD -- Best Of The Doors (not to be confused with
LP or cassette -- it's different).
Are there any others released? Any plans? Any ideas where
this kind of information can be gained?
