| I have a Carver CD Player as well as a Technics SLP-1 and a Sony D7. I
like the effect of the Digital Time Lens on the Carver. The Carver has
a fuller, richer sound than the others and, in particular, analog recorded
material sounds much better when processed by the Time Lens. It is not as easy
to program as the Technics which has a keypad but that is not important to me.
The Carver also has a little trouble tracking damaged disks that the other two
will track.I don't know if this is characteristic of Carvers or if it is
just my Carver that needs adjustmnet. I haven't gotten around to taking
it in.

| Re: .1
If your Carver is anything like my SONY, there are two pots that determine
tracking. To fix it I suggest going to a repair center. The pots need
to be adjusted while using a special test disc and an osiliscope (sp?).

| I thought the Carver was great, but not worth $650. I bought a Sony
CDP-70B for $269.88.

| Any ideas what CARVER's design follows, the major japanese models or the
Phillips?
I do agree that's $650 is alot, but where I belong (the far east) buying
a Carver cost as much as buying 3 Yahama CD-X3!

| An ad for Carver CD players says that you can buy the Digital Time
Lens as a seperate component and attach it to your system. Does
anyone know what this costs?
