There's no real reason to call prof. Searle. There is 2/3 page announcement in the Reflector, complete with map. Try the library for a copy. Its at a meeting of the Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing Chapter of the IEEE, and starts at 5:30 PM. Searle said that Blesser is a good speaker and is quite entertaining. Maybie I'll have a talk with him about "Passable-Quality in Audio circuits." :-) Unless you are paying $50+ for Burr-Brown Hybrid DACs, your 16-bit DAC CD player only has about 14-bit performance. True 16-bit performance from DACs is pushing state of the art, and the $1 DACs in CD players arn't. |
