261.0. "Wind. Hill's 'Country' ST" by EUCLID::PAULHUS () Tue Jan 21 1986 12:03

  Windham Hill's 'Country' sountrack album may satisfy George Winston fans'
 craving for more of his work. Most cuts include his piano. There are
 some memorable moments of drums, flugelhorn, and fiddle in various cuts.
   I finally got a WH disc I didn't care for: Wm. Ackermann's 'Past Light'.
 I've heard cuts from 'Passages' and hoped 'Past Light' would be it equal.

	I'm a Winston fan too ! A while back there was a note in the
music file about "Linus and Lucy", Max *somebody* had copies of the
sheet music available and didn't feel bad about giving them away
because it was out of print. Anyway, Max changed jobs and I never
could track him down or get a hold of anyone who had scrouged a copy
from him. I am still interested in getting hold of this, does anyone
out there know if and on what George recorded it ? The sheet would be
best, but I'll buy an album on any medium if I have to.

Winston gives out the sheet music at his concerts. He says he's trying
to get the publisher to re-issue it. (He also sometimes gives out copies
of things he's done that aren't available in record form yet.) I know I
bagged a copy of "Linus and Lucy." If I can find it again, I'll copy it
and send it to you if you send me your mailstop (by mail please, not in reply
to this note.)
