201.0. "CD's in Aussie?" by SNOV10::GREENAN () Tue Oct 29 1985 22:24

Does anyone in Australia read this notes file? If so I'd be interested
in any address' known to have large sources of CD's.

I've been into several shops around the Sydney area, and all seem to have
the same limited selection, and none have the CD's I'm particularly
looking for.

For interest to others. CD prices are about A$25 each, but players are
very expensive. The D-50 is A$560. Fortunatly I bought mine in Hong Kong
on the way over here at half that price. (A$1 = US$.7)

Cheers.

Must be a new kid on the block! Of course, there are Australians reading
this file.

What sort of discs are you looking for, and where have you looked?

I get almost all my discs from Music Plus in Crows Nest. Richard Alfonzo,
the manager, is one of the most knowledgable Muso-philes around and stocks
an enormous collection of Cd's. Any thing he doesn't have he can order post
haste from the recording companies. I found that he had a better selection
that most of the places I checked out when I was last in New Hampshire.
