I never considered myself a Billy Joel fan, but I have liked a lot of his
songs over the years.  Until recently, though, I had only bought one of
his albums (long before I had a CD player).  However, the release of
"Billy Joel: Greatest Hits" on CD (2 discs) was too good to pass up - just
about every song of his that I like is on this release, and few that
I don't care for. 

The sound quality seems good, though I didn't turn it way up to listen
for hiss.  It seems to all be from analog recordings.

The songs included are from 1973 through 1985, with two songs never
before released.  If I had anything bad to say about this set it would
be the dang-blasted double jewel box it comes in which doesn't fit in
my CD case.  I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who has liked
songs such as Piano Man, The Entertainer, Big Shot, It's Still Rock and
Roll to Me, Pressure, Uptown Girl, etc.

Columbia G2K40121.  It's on sale this week at Lechmere for $19.99 -
unfortunately for me I bought it last week at $24.99.  It's $29.99 most
places.

I am a Billy Joel fan and I think these discs are great.  But don't feel 
alone about buying them at full price!!!I also bought them at Lechmere last 
week at $24.99...even at that price, it's a good deal....

I believe Lechmere will give you the difference back between what you paid
and the sale price if you still have the receipt and it is within 30 days.
You may want to check it out...I know I will.
