169.0. "PRE-EMPHASIS AND FILERING IN CD'" by EKLV00::COLLINS () Fri Aug 16 1985 14:46
I'd be interested to know what kind of filters (responses etc.) are used
in CD's . Also are the higher frequencies on the disks emphasised at the
recording stage ? If not , why not ?
I'm designing a little box in my spare time . Mic input to digital memory
to speaker out. I suspect I'm using similar technology to CD's.
Sampling at 92KHZ,12 bits,switchable compunction,256K memory. The finished
"box" will have all the usual effects (echo,chorus,flanging etc).
Does anyone know of a notesfile where I could find usefull into .

| There is a computer music notesfile on NOVA::SYS$NOTES:COMMUSIC
which has a lot of notes on various delay units and home recording
techniques. You might want to check it out.
