| Nearly all audio manufacturers have standardized on a width of about 17
inches, which is the "19 inch rack mount" width. I don't ever recall
seeing a CD player signifcantly narrower than that other than the D-5.

| My Magnavox FD1040 is approximately that wide. (I got mine at Service
Merchandise. I don't know if they still carry them. Somebody a couple of notes
back said he had gotten one for $180. I paid $197 for mine. Good machine. Not
too many bells and whistles but well made and NICE sound.)

| Not sure what the width is, but I think one of the Pioneer units (if not
THE Pioneer unit) is much narrower than most, I saw it at Lechmere's in
Framingham.
Good Luck,

| I've seen a little Yamaha about that size. I don't remember the model number.
Full list was about $400.

| The Technics SL-P7 was narrow - around 12 inches wide. I have one.
