131.0. "Electric Gramaphone's Sale Bin" by DRAGON::ROSENBERG () Fri Jun 14 1985 10:26
If you're into classical CDs, be advised that Electric Gramaphone in Sudbury
(the pro's and con's of which have been discussed in another note) has an
ongoing sale bin of CDs for $13. It has at least 100 different titles at
all times. It's not junk or castoffs either, e.g. von Karajan's Beethoven's 9th
on DGG is usually there. Rick Oakley, the owner, says that his criterion for
putting things in the sale bin is how many he can order at the same time,
a lot and it goes into the sale bin for $13, 1 or 2 and it goes into the
regular bins for $16. The sale stuff is certainly competitive with
Lechmere or Caldor's and the selection is there.
DISCLAIMER: I am an unabashed fan of Electric Gramaphone.
