This file has been set up for the express purpose of allowing a forum
for exchange of Compact Discs (CD's). Please don't reply to any notes
in this file so that the author may delete a note when a deal is made
for the items listed.

This file will prevent GOLD""::CD.NOT from being cluttered with lists
of CD's that people want to swap.

If you want to sell, buy, or swap CD's, this is the NOTES file for you!

Also, if you want to buy, sell, or trade disc players, that may also
be brought up here, but please, DO NOT REPLY TO ANY NOTE. Discussions
about merits of any particular CD or player should occur in GOLD""::CD.NOT
and not in this file.

Be sure to include your Easynet mailing address in your note if it is
different from where you are writing a note. If you want, include your
phone number and mailstop for alternate forms of correspondence.
Negotiations for items should take place outside of the realm of this
file.

                                        Thank you and happy shopping!
                                        -Dave

I don't remember being overwhelmed by people wanting to swap discs in this
(CD.NOT) file. But if you think it's a great idea to have yet another notes
file to direct people to, then by all means have at it. Maybe we should
have CDSWAPCLASSIC.NOT and CDSWAPJAZZ.NOT and CDSWAPPOP.NOT just so the notes
file won't get "cluttered" with music that the potential swapper finds
tasteless. I'm sure I'm just being provincial thinking that
ASYLUM::SYS$NOTES:SWAPPER.NOT is a good enough place for swap/sale notices.
God knows, there are automobile ads in there.

hmm.. looks like you've caught the rath of the notes_police..
I take it you placed an application with the notes planning board and
  got the appropriate permit? :-)

I think the CD swapper file is a good idea, low or high volume it has
  its place.

I support the continued existence of CDSWAP.NOT. This is much like the practice
of having separate product notes files for general discussion and bug reports.

I don't think putting CD swap notices in SWAPPER.NOT is good idea. I gave
up on that notes file long ago due to the general clutter I found there,
i.e., the signal-to-noise ratio was too tiny to make it worth the trouble.

I gave up on SWAPPER for the same reason. I'm not sure that I'd really be
interested in swapping CDs --- I have only 2 dozen and I like them all ---
but I may be interested in buying used disks.
