60.0. "That plug on the back" by MANANA::DICKSON () Wed Dec 12 1984 09:48
I have a Technics SL-P7, and it has a DIN plug on the back which the
manual tells me is for future connection to Technics amplifiers for
remote start, etc. My manual does not tell me what pins do what.
WEVO just acuired some Technics CD players as well, I think the SL-P8.
For now you have to reach over and hit the play button, but it is
highly desirable to hook the players into the control board so that
they go into "play" when the channel activate key is pressed on the board.
The control output of the board is a TTL level or something like that,
so it should not be hard to arrange an interface, unless the DIN plug
goes to the player's control microprocessor and you have to do
fancy serial protocols.
Any ideas how to find out what is in there?
