I just read Note 8.0 (the anti-CD flame from Douglas Sax, President of
Sheffield Labs) with great amusement. I guess his ideals of 'truth and
dedication to music' have gone by the wayside, because I notice that
Sheffield Labs is now selling CDs. I own a few of them myself.

I've read some comments on this. Business is business. He can either make his well engineered recordings available on CD as well as the direct-to-disk's, or get run out of business. So whats wrong with letting all of the CD nuts subsidize audiophile recordings, instead of the audiophiles subsidizing the lo-fi market. I think it's a nice change. They are still some of the best sounding and best engineered recordings available, regardless of the media format. | |||||
