    The ACMSxp Team is pleased to announce the availability of a 
    preliminary kit of ACMSxp V3.0 for Digital Unix 4.0.  This kit 
    will run on Digital UNIX 4.0b, but not Digital UNIX 3.2x 
    See note 268 for ACMSxp V3.0 for Digital Unix 3.2g.

    The kit can be accessed via anonymous FTP from ptpm21.eng21.lkg.dec.com 
    (16.21.144.191).  cd to ACMSXP_for_UNIX4.0

This ACMSxp kit requires two patches, one for DCE and one for pthreads. The
pthreads patch contains the following:

# tar tf pthread.tar
.
./libpthread.so
./libpthreaddebug.so
./libpthreads.so


To install the pthread patch save the 3 current pthread libraries in 
/usr/shlib before untaring pthread.tar into /usr/shlib.  After
untaring pthread.tar into /usr/shlib verify that the ownership and
privilage of the 3 pthread libraries are the same as the  original 3
pthread libraries.  Re-boot machine after installing the pthread patch.

Next stop DCE.  Then untar the DCE patch, DCEECO1.tar, into a temporary 
directory and use setld to install.  After install do a clean and restart
of dce.

Last untar ACMSXP_V4_V300.tar into a temporary directory and use setld to 
install.
