247.0. "ACCVIO with stdl /debug" by UTRTSC::WDEBAKKER (Feed your head) Mon Jan 27 1997 07:05

Hello,

The following little program crashes with an ACCVIO when the
debug switch is being used. Without debug it compiles fine.
What could be the reason for this?
Any workarounds, maybe?

Thanks in advance
Willem de Bakker

 %STDL-F-CDRSYSCERR Error invoking C compiler

I just tried your file with both the V2.1 stdl compiler and the V3.0 stdl
compiler. In both cases the code compiled just fine. I did notice one
defect however. The listing file is created in your default directory
not in the directory associated with the /output qualifer. I'll qar that
and get it fixed.

Now back to your problem, what version of the C compiler are you using?
To determine that do the following:

CC/ver nl:

I'm guessing that you are using the DEC C V5.5 compiler. The DEC C V5.5
compiler has a problem associated with /debug You'll have to back off
to the V5.3 compiler.

You're right, this is with DEC C V5.5
We'll go back to V5.3

Thanks,
