| Here's my UK list:
1 Tomb Raider

3 Wipeout
4 Olympic Soccer
5 Doom
6 Resident Evil
7 X-com Enemy Unknown
8 Pandemonium
9 Worms
10 Formula 1
This was a tricky decision - I had no doubt about no.1, and the other 9
could come in almost any order. Of course this is limited by my
experience - I haven't seen enough of Wipeout 2097, Destruction
Derby 2 or Command & Conquer to select any of them.

Here's my top five U.K. and I've just realised that there's no sports
games mentioned .I think they've generally been disappointing (yes/no?)
1 TOMB RAIDER.
2 RESIDENT EVIL.
3 ALIEN TRILOGY.
4 DOOM.
5 WIPEOUT 2097(XL)

| 1. Tomb Raider (No game has taken more of my time except number 2.
Possibly the best game I've played on any system. No,
I haven't played Mario 64. ;-)
2. Worms (This black hole of a game has killed many evenings. :-)
3. Wipeout XL (Actually 2 and 3 are almost too close to call. I'm a
firestarter....)
4. Disruptor (Don't own it yet, but I rented it and loved it.)
5. Pandemonium (I love platform games and this is the best so far.)
6. Kings Field (I know. Not the most popular of games, but my spouse
and I have killed many happy hours playing it and are
just starting with its sequel.)
7. Ten Pin Alley (Another rental. I'm not a bowler but this was just
too much fun.)
8. Crash Bandicoot (Told you I'm a sucker for platformers.)
No 9 or 10. Nothing else has really struck me. (I was not a big fan
of RE.) Formula One was pretty good, perhaps if I'd spent more time
with it, it'd be on the list. The skater in me was really wanting to
like ESPN eXtreme Games, but it just wasn't all the way there.

| My list as of 4/23/97 (kind of a US/Jap combo)
1) Final Fantasy 7 (I've never seen anything like it for PSX. Best RPG to
date, no question.)
2) Bubble Puzzle 2 (very VERY addictive puzzle game)
3) Valor Hearts (I like the strategy-type game)
4) Rage Racer (best console racing game)
5) Street Fighter Alpha 2 (I'm a SF fanatic, and I definitely liked the
translation)
6) Soul Edge (very good 3d fighting game)
7) Tomb Raider (very good, but hard)
8) Madden 97 (best football game)
9) Macross Digital Mission (if you like Robotech/Macross, you'll love this)
10) Gaia Seed (very good shooter).
Note that 6 out of 10 games listed are only in Japan currently, so that leads
to one conclusion... IF you want the best games, get a MOD chip or a Japanese
PSX, and order games from Japan or HK.
I should be getting alot of new Japanese games soon (ie. Bushido Blade), so this
list will definitely change next month.
