1354.3 | I think | CHEFS::CONNELLA | I Took That and Partied | Tue Jul 02 1996 09:39 | 10 |
| Isn't it Fly me to the Moon, and let me reach up to the stars, let me
see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars, in other words....
Haven't seen the advert but that's what the two lines sound like. Twas
indeed Frank SInatra (and countless others since) You'll get it on any
Jazz standard compilation and it *might* be on Franks "songs for
Swinging lovers" but I'm not 100% about that.

| Oh and whilst I cling sadly to my musical days, it is also available on
the CD diskette Take it from the Top, featuring yours truly on 3rd
trumpet in the Trumpet section, Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra and the
North renound singer, and Opportunity Knocks heat winner, Andy Prior.
Recorded at Yellow 2 studio in Stockport a few years ago.

"Fly me to the moon and let me play among the stars, let me sing what
spring is like on Jupiter and Mars"
Andrea is right, Frankie boy did this and it has been covered many
times so the female vocalist might not be anyone you (or I)'ve heard
of.
