I heard some of their stuff on the radio a while ago, but I don't know what vintage it was, and they seem to have several albums available. Can anyone provide any more information ? Trevor

I used to be a fan of this lot. They had a brilliant album which they brought out prior to the 1987 election called 'Never mind the Ballots'. Although now, with mention of Kinnock and Thatcher, it sounds pretty outdated, when the play live they play the same songs but with up-to-date lyrics. Lately, I've only seen them live once and they were okay, they have a habit of dressing up in different costumes as the evening conitinues, nurses uniforms for songs about the NHS, army uniform for songs about nuclear weapons, etc. Their more recent studio stuff, in my opinion is crap, but if you get the chance to see them live, take it, it's an experience. I heard a Chumbawamba/Credit to the Nation collaboration on the Peel show the other day, and right good it was too - kind of dance/reggae feel with loud guitars and a very catchy chorus. Can't remember what it was called, though..... Bob | |||||
