Any Bowie fans out there who can assist me ?? Recently I bought Philip Glass' Low Symphony, which is based on Bowie/Eno music from Low. There are 3 tracks on it...Subterraneans, Warzawa...both on 'Low' and a track called 'Some Are', ewhich is not on my version of 'Low'. Anyone know where the 'Some Are' came from ?? If anyone is interested, the Low symphony is really well done. It keeps with the basic theme of Subterraneans and Warzawa very well , and actually adds something to them as well. Given that I think Warzawa (not sure if Im spelling it right), is one of my favourite tracks, and a masterpiece in its time, I could recommend anyone to the Low symphony...provided they are familiar with Phili Glass, as hes not everyones cup of tea. Cheers Paul

Paul, "Some Are" is included as a 'bonus' track (together with another piece entitled "All Saints") on the EMI/Rykodisc CD re-issue of the _LOW_ album. Yes, and I agree that Philip Glass's _LOW SYMPHONY_ is well worth investigating! - Dougie | |||||

Can anyone help me with a copy of last Saturday's "BOWIE AT THE BEEB" programme (Bob Harris, 1FM, 2-3pm)??? Classic stuff, by all accounts. Re. "Low" - yes, Paul ... I'd say that the 'bonus' tracks on the CD are worth the extra dosh. - Dougie |
