    Can anyone recommend a CD with saxophone music on it?  I'm not 
    looking for anything too heavy - the type of songs I looking for
    are like that one from the film, Breaking Glass with the sax solo
    in it.
    
    Are there any CD's that do that sort of music?  I don't think I want
    to buy something from Candy Dolfer cos a lot of her stuff I don't 
    like.  What I think I want is maybe some hits with saxophone music
    in it.
    
    Is there such a thing?

	I think there are a few saxophoney compilations - look in the comps section in Our Profits. Also check out the Jazz sections - Branford Marsalis is a great player, and his music is very accessible, try 'Royal Garden Blues', or maybe 'Romances for Saxaphone', which is a compilation of short but sweet pieces of Classical music played on saxophone (mainly soprano sax). Branford is the guy who plays sax on the Sting solo lps - you might want to dig out Stings first solo lp 'Dream of the Blue Turtles', which has some natty twiddly saxophone bits. Mikef

	Julia, Or there's Barbara Thompson, the 'best female jazz sax player'. I saw her play at the Basingstoke Ice Rink a few months ago and I bought the latest CD if you want to borrow it. It's not too heavy, fairly pleasant but a bit weird in places. tp

	Sorry to sidestep a little but doesn't Branford Marsalis also have a lesser known Sax-playing brother (Winton/Winston???) with whom he fell out a long while ago ??.....Branford also appeared on Live Aid with Sting ( all those years ago !) which really did make Sting's performance memorable in my opinion ... 	Branfords brother is Wynton Marsalis - and is probably a lot better known!! Probably not so much in the pop world tho', he refuses to cross over from Jazz in anything else. He's a trumpet player - check out 'Black Codes from the Underground'. Mikef

	Two more easy-on-the-ear jazz suggestions: Lester Young and Stan Getz. Weather Report (with Wayne Shorter on sax) weren't bad either.
