| If i'm not mistaken there was an article about her in the latest
edition of The Amazing Pudding (Pink Floyd Fanzine). I'll gander at it
tonight and let you know if there is any news worthy of being
published.

That would make sense as she is friendly with a certain Mr Gilmore,
and also sang with Floyd at Knebworth '90
Thanks

| Well, i've got the article in front of me so here goes. I don't know
what you know so i'll give you snippets of info and you can ask for
more if i've got any.
She began session work at an early age working for, Spandau Ballet,
Dexy's midnight runners, Jimmy page - 'the firm's debut album, jon Lord
and on Tina Turners Break every rule.
She claims not to be a 'close' friend of Gilmour, just someone who has
known him for years.
There is alot of historical blah blah.
Her mother is also a singer and they both worked on Gilmour's About
Face album.
She doesn't have any more work planned with DG.
She is going to continue wth her policy of releasing 3 extra previously
unreleased tracks with every 12" single and cd single.
She strongly regrets not refusing to do the video compilation of her as
she thinks it is awful. She sounds a bit P*****d off with A&M (her
record company) "i've never had any problems with A&M until this year"
She has been signed for a third album, unless something goes horribly
wrong.
She names her influences as:-
Singing: Lorraine Ellison, Thelma Houston, Lowell George and to a
certain extent Ella Fitzgerald.
Songwriting: Millions of people. She thinks Sting is brilliant, and
likes Kate Bush, Rickie Lee Jones and Joan Armatrading.
Unfortunately, that about the jist of it. Quite boring really and
nothing firm on her future. The interview was in the April 92 edition
of TAP.
If you want a photocopy of the whole article let me know.
Regards,
Rupert.

Well if anyone's interested the long awaited 3rd album has been
released on A&M, its title " 43 minutes "..
I picked it up at the weekend but as yet haven't played it too much
so I haven't got too much of an opinion.....
I scibble a quick review in a few days....
The first impressions are good although there doesn't seem to be
much difference in sound to her previous outings..
