| Harvey,
I haven't seen the Neil Innes show but I do know that he is aided by
Andy Roberts ex Liverpool Scene and Plainsong. He was also Brad Breath
in Hank Wangford's Band many moons ago and used to do a rip roaring
version of a George Jones song 'Brown to Blue'.
I thought you might want to know that.

| I've got his LP "How sweet to be an Idiot", & now have erfurbished my
Bonzo collection by rushing out to buy the new 3-vol rerelease of all
their LPs (+ rarities) on 8.49pds cd's (each contains 2xLPs).
I reckon he was a very talented writer, though I only saw him once live
(in Grimms around 1972).
Wouldn't it be great if he got back together with Viv Stanshall who
also keeps re-surfacing and appears to be in good health & voice (if his
Omnibus special is anything to go by).
PS. Have you noticed that the planet has loads more problems since the
Bonzo's split?? And people laugh less?? - It can't be coincidence...

| Are you thinking, perhaps, of Rutland Weekend Television? Also starring
Eric Idle and the team that brought you "The Rutles" (now there's a
classic LP/film if ever there was one).
If not, perhaps you're referring to The Innes Book of Records? No Eric
Idle in this one, but OK anyway in an Innes-ish fashion.
be seeing you

produced it (under a pseudonym...Mr.Apollo, I think)

| re.13]
You'll find a write-up of the 3 cd-set BONZOS (complete re-release) in
note 664.35 of this conference. If you know the Bonzos LPs then apart
from the extra/rare tracks(including the brill "Ready-mades"), you'll know
the content. The "pressings" are good to average, and the presentation
(booklets etc.) very good. All in all, a must for Bonzo fans wanting to
capture their output on a permanent medium at a cheap price.
Don't be put off by reviews which base their ratings of how 60s
material fits/or fails to fit into the fashionable demands of the 90's.
