Uh-oh is in your record shops now.

| Anyone bought/heard it yet?

979.3 | | FORTY2::BOYES | Strange things are afoot at the Circle K | Thu Mar 12 1992 12:41 | 11 |
| There were selections (with an interview) on Johny Walkers program on
Saturday, and the video of the single (Girls On My Mind) on the Chart Show.
Musically like the last album, singing a bit whinier and not very pleasant.
There's a track about transexualism called "Now I'm Your Mom".
Jerry Harrison is doing solo stuff now: the Tom Tom Club are looking for
a label and meanwhile the Chis and Tina are producing a Happy Mondays album.
David Byrne wants to hang up his big suit for good but it won't fit in the
closet.

979.4 | A quick listen! | NEWOA::SAXBY | Is that IT?!?! | Thu Mar 12 1992 13:22 | 5 |

I heard a bit in Our Price (is higher than everyone else's) a week or
so ago. It sounded pretty good. Sort of mellow Talking Heads really!

979.5 | Can't believe I'm first | FORTY2::ASH | Grahame Ash @REO | Thu Mar 12 1992 14:04 | 6 |
| Surely I'm not the only one who's bought this? Anyway, if you're holding back
because you want a follow-up to Naked rather than one to Rei Momo, DON'T!
Uh-oh is much closer to traditional Heads music than Byrne's previous solo
stuff. It's chockful of great pop songs - there must be a single due?

| There is a single out, but I can't remember the title now. It was
reviewed in the NME this week anyway.

979.7 | | FORTY2::BOYES | Strange things are afoot at the Circle K | Thu Mar 12 1992 16:54 | 1 |
| Single's called Girls On My Mind, like I said in .3.

979.8 | got it | CSESUP::CROOKD | Billy Whizz | Mon Mar 16 1992 10:13 | 6 |
| Yes, so you did. Got the album for my b'day over the weekend. Nothing
like Rei Momo actually. A lot more like Talking Heads. Especially like
the track "Something Ain't Right", because of the amazing percussion
and whistles.

Cannot get Girls on my mind out of my mind

979.11 | | CHEFS::HARRISR | Ave you gota loit boy ? | Thu May 26 1994 12:15 | 7 |
| On Channel 4, Wednesday nights at 11:55 there is a most excellent
programme called Flying Blind. The theme music is by David Byrne, and I
wondered if anyone can tell me on what album, if any, the song a
million miles, is on.
Rich.

979.12 | Little Creatures? | GEC013::63388::clark | | Thu May 26 1994 15:10 | 5 |
| Rich,
I think "Million Miles" is on Little Creatures by the Talking Heads.

979.14 | Reminiscent of Older TH stuff | GEC013::63388::clark | | Fri May 27 1994 16:19 | 6 |
| I just picked up the new David Byrne CD. It sounds a lot like older Talking
Heads stuff to me. His last album "Uh-Oh" was instantly likable. This one
seems pretty solid but it is going to take a few more listens to get a good
feel for it!
