| As far as I'm aware the Stone Roses still can't release anything while
their court case proceeds at a snail's pace through the ancient
channels of so-called British justice. Unless I've missed some
important news, always a possibility.

| It was said on the T.V. last night that the legal wrangles have been
sorted out and a new album to be released very soon, they have a new
single out call Fools Gold - it's kind of slowish with a touch of
influence,in the bass line anyway,of the Mondays - it's growing but not
startling.

| Fools Gools is over 17 months old, I borrowed a 12 inch copy Aug 90. It went
out of print then and I had to return it. Are you saying it has been
re-released ?

| It's "Waterfall" which has been released - double A side with "Fools
Gold"?
"Waterfall" is from the album "The Stone Roses".
Straight in this week (UK Gallup Top 40) at number 28.

| I bought Fool's Gold (CD single) in early summer of 1990, I think, if
not before. And I've had It's a Waterfall for nearly three years. Is
this what they call "new" these days?

| It was introduced as a new single and I hadn't heard Fools Gold before
- if I had known Waterfall was on the A side I wouldn't have mentioned
it - not that I don't like Waterfall - anyway the legal wrangles are
said to be over - qoute mtv.

| NME, in it's usual gossipy fashion, quotes a source near to the band as
saying that the creative inspiration has all dried up and that there
definitely won't be any more new material until the end of the year -
at least.

You're telling me that they haven't written any new songs over the last
2 years?!?

| The jist of what I heard was that it was still due to legal wrangles -
though I could be wrong.
