938.0. "TOTO in Concert" by CHEFS::BRIGGSR (Four Flat Tyres on a Muddy Road) Mon Nov 25 1991 13:55

I have a video of Toto live in Paris recorded off the box. I think the
concert was in the early 80s.

Can anyone tell me the name of the instrumental piece that Steve
Lukather plays? I want to get a Toto CD but it must have Rosanna, Hold
the Line, Africa and this instrumental on (hopefully).

I'm ashamed to know this but Rosanna and Africa are on Toto 4 as is
Won't Hold You back . The only way you'll get hold the line on the same
    l.p. is to buy a compilation . Don't do yourself the dis-service.

Well the first three are on a compilation. Its the instumental with the
unknown title that also interest me. Is this also on the compilation?

Why did/do Toto get such a negative press? I have always had a fairly non
commital view of them. That is until I saw this concert. The standard
of musicianship was superb as was there stage presence etc. Ok, the
singer's a bit, well..., however he does a fine job. Nope, I was quite
    impressed by the concert.

There is an instrumental on "4" but can't tell you the name. I know
it's either the last track on Side One or Two. Narrows it down a
    bit.....unless it's a live only affair.
