3 years ago I found a copy of "Overman Underground" by Kowalski in a 2nd hand Croydon (England) record shop. I paid 20p for it (price of a candy bar!). Since then, I have rated this LP (on the Virgin label) as one of the most extraordinary and powerful heavy-metal/rock records of all time. However, apart from being produced by Conny Planck (who is very involved with other groups like CAN etc.), i know very little about the group and any other records they may have made. Can anyone please enlighten me?

Just when you thought you were the only person in the universe who had heard of Kowalski, eh? I've got that album stuck away in the back of my pile somewhere and I agree, it is a massively good album. I got my copy some years ago from an old friend, dunno where he got it though...... great stuff Charlie. | |||||

Hiya Charlie, I must admit I was starting to think Kowalski was merely a figment of my imagination. I would hang on to your copy, as it already has rarity value, and if people ever tire of commercially processed fodder, then recognition may yet come (in the same way that "Faust" now seem to be regarded as somethging of a legend!). Do you know whether that was their only LP? Alex. |
