"Jean Paul Satre? Best centre foward West Ham ever had. Through
sheer mind power alone he could put the ball in the back of the net!
Talk about Dead Ball situation? He could prove that the ball never
existed."
...My fave moment from "CAK".

923.5 | The Young Ones | FORTY2::CADWALLADER | Rifle butts to crush you down... | Wed Oct 30 1991 17:18 | 10 |
| Do you remember the song from the Young Ones with the classics lines...
"If the boss is mad with you, you've lost all his in-voices"
"Don't drink a bottle of sulphuric acid, just make some funny noises"
"EEEEK!!!OOOOK!!!AHHH!!BLURGHHH "... etc...
Also there was the single "Allo John, Gotta New Motor?", his Fish People Tapes
were rather funny too, but yes, his TV show is now very poor...

I thought the Mickey Mouse Club take-off was the best....
"Whose an ugly bastard and as fat as he can be?
A-L-E
X-E-I
S-A-Y-L-E !"

I dunno. I reckon his new series is patchy (as always). The titles
for this series always crack me up, but like most 'Alternative'
comedians (especially the ones the BBC seem to support) his timing can
be hopeless and he can string a joke out for too long.

the monologues are not as funny as the original series
and the writers marshall/renwick come up with some
decent ideas for sketches but which end up as parodies of
monty python stuff, though i love the 'fake' starts and
finishes to the program. or is the startling originality
just washing over us now? i'll still watch it religiously
every week though........as a penance
