Great band, Chapterhouse are from Reading, they are on Fire records (I
think), and have had 3 EPs out and have just released an album called
Whirlpool which is excellent. Go out and buy it today, and the 3 EPs
whilst you're at it.

Completely agree with Tim (well, not completely, they are on Dedicated
records, but who cares). For completeness, the - excellent - EPs are
entitled 'Freefall', 'Sunburst' and 'Pearl'. Mind you, even Piers quite
likes them.

Are the EPs on the LP, or have they been honest and put out all-new
material? Thanks to that magnificent device, the personal stereo, I can
tell you RIGHT NOW that "Pearl" is brilliant.

| Someone should change the title of this topic to say "Chapterhouse"
or is it "Chapter House?" (I've seen it written both ways.) So everyone
knows what group you're refering to.
They're getting a lot of airplay on the local commercial hipster
station in LA, which is *way cool*.

| They were back on MTV on sunday night with an interview and some songs
for about half an hour.I like thier videos and looked good live but
it was the actuall record that was playing.I hear they are touring the
states just now - is this true - if so anyone been to see them yet?

| On Snub they did call Reading the centre of the cultural universe all
be it sarcastically and the music press seem to always mention that
they are from here so it looks like they're not going to get away with

| Played it a couple of times so far. I would say its far more like
Lush,Pale Saints, possibly even Ultra Vivid Scene, than it is the
Cocteaus. Its Ok...perhaps a few more plays will elevate it into the
good cateagory...if not... 2nd hand CD for sale.

reason as well, its really annoyed me as I'm going and I was looking
forward to seeing them again.
