NME always include the top 10 songs that were in the chart 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years ago. It might be worth dropping them a line to find out their sources. Just an idea... Russ. | |||||

Your best bet is to invest in the Guiness Book of Hit Singles(around �7/�8).This lists all the records which made the top 75 since the chart was introduced.The latest one covers up to 1988(I think),but there should be a new one out this year,as they are re-vamped every couple of years.(this should cover up to 1990).
