I've done a dir/keyword but I can find nothing here about Mazzy Starr -
there's a single song by her/them on the MM Gigantic II CD which I've
taken quite a shine to (Ride It On). Does anyone know (or care) if
there is anything else by this person/band available, and whether it's
in the same sort of vein as Ride It On?

As far as I know, Mazzy Star have released just one LP called 'She Hangs
Brightly' (including Ride It On) on Rough Trade. Since the songs on this
record all sound so similar that it's hard to tell one from the others, I
suppose all this material is indeed 'in the same sort of vein as Ride
It On'.
+ I heard somewhere that some members of the group (at least the singer)
were before in a band named Opal. Don't know more about that, sorry.
