| Hoyt has let me use his account so I can enter this testimonial to his
character. Hoyt is a *prince*. He's a delightful companion, decent
beyond words, and is handy with an anecdote, too. He'd make a wonderful
addition to any March 23rd outing. If *I* had a chance, I'd leap to get
him a ticket to something, and get one for myself as well!!

| Hoyt and Mom, its quite easy to just pop into Harvard Sq or Newbury Comics
and pick up the NME which lists the shows which are happening...

| The problem is that they only give full listings for the week ahead but
it will advertise bands schedules as well.

Well, I don't remember whether it's the 23rd or 25th but a friend
is going to see Maria McKee at the Town & Country if that appeals
to you...

I saw a flyer for Green On Red on the 23rd, I think it was at the
Venue.

Hoyt, I looked through the March 2nd Melody Maker with you in mind
and didn't see anything for the 23rd.
Tim, if memory serves I thought Green on Red were playing the 22nd
but maybe I missed that one.
The MM has some gigs listed in advance but as I said I didn't see
a one that might interest you.
As for Time Out, Out of Town in Harvard Square is at best a week
behind in the weekly issue they currently have. As of last night
that is. I forget when they get the new one.

811.8 | What venue are they playing? The Venue. I like it. | PENUTS::HNELSON | Resolved: 192# now, 175# by May | Thu Mar 07 1991 20:24 | 7 |
| My mother thanks all of you. :) I'm heading to Harvard Square tonight.
Green on Red in unfamiliar to me... does it refer to the onset of
gangrene in a bloody wound, or a confused traffic light, or trying to
bribe a communist, or golfing on Mars, or Richard Green on the Red
Skelton show, or way cool music, or what?

811.9 | Boy, am I suggestible! | PENUTS::HNELSON | Resolved: 192# now, 175# by May | Thu Mar 07 1991 20:30 | 7 |
| Hi, Sue!
Thanks for the suggestion. Can you tell me anything about Maria McKee?
Country-punk, new-age-thrash, what? Could I possibly get into the Town
and Country if I can't buy tickets in advance?
Thanks tons!!!!!!! - Hoyt

Her music is great. Deacon Blue's 'Real gone Kid' is about her. She was
originally in a group called Lone Justice. Recently got to no 1 with
'Show me Heaven' from the film with Tom Cruise and Racing cars.
You may have seen her if you ever saw Robbie Robertson's video of
'Somewhere down the crazy river'.
She's also playing Manchester.
Sam.

Apparently she's playing Manchester on the 23rd so it must be the
25th she's in London, which isn't the date you had free, is it?
There's a note devoted to her in her somewhere, and I guess guys
find her rather attractive so....maybe you want to free up the 25th
instead of the 23rd :-)
