| I sorry to say that I haven't got any Bay City Rollers records , but I
do have a rather fetching pair of Tartan trousers and a couple of
scarves which you could tie round your wrists and look very trendy .

end. I didnt know it would be a valuable item one day.....

The GAY City Strollers :-) I had a crush on them when I was 13...
almost like my daughter is now with the Old Kids on the Block :-)
I have to admit I would be curious as to know the where abouts of
some of the members.. I mean I heard that Les was GAY, and that Eric
had tried to commit Suicide, and my heart throb at the time... was Alan
is it Longmier????? I mean it was just something about a man pushing 30
wearing nickers :-) and high top sneakers :-)... although over here in
the states last summer People magazine had an article on old teaner
boopers and what they are doing these days.. and has a small picture of
Eric and said that he used to be a drug addict... Those NICKERS will do
it to you ALL the time :-) Maybe he had them pulled up too high, and
just couldn't take the pressure any longer :-) :-) :-) Anyway, if
anyone has any info.. then come forward..... Its ok to come out of the
closet now alright :-)

Not that anyone's really interested...
The Bay City Rollers have reformed (again).
I know this because they were on Jim'll Fix-It, someone actually wrote in
after all this time and asked to meet Les McKeown. As they played a medley
of their greatest hits, she stood there swaying from side to side with a
tartan scarf above her head.

| Yep, - Tim, you are right, but it's the only way to cope with rock+roll
stardom.
I believe the re-formed Rollers have been around for a while, and have
been doing great things in the USA. Perhaps one of our Transatlantic
correspondents can confirm/elaborate.

I saw them live at Bristol's Colston Hall once upon a time .....
they were supporting Cockney Rebel if memory serves me correctly ....

such classic ditties as these ?? ^;)

Dunno, but Glass of Champagne was Sailor wasn't it?
Mark
PS I think comparing Pilot with BCR is a BIT unfair. After all they did
write their own material (whatever you think of it) and could play
their instruments. Also they didn't wear tartan troosers!

| Hey, Tim! Your girlfriend wasn't from Dole, in N. France, was she? The
reason I'm asking is that many years ago, a French girl arrived on my
doorstep having travelled from Dole to Welwyn; she was looking for the
Rubettes, and was convinced our house was where the singer's mother
lived.

Suzi Quatro
The Rubettes
Mud
AND the Bay City Rollers all playing at a local nitespot. The Rubettes
actually had a girl singing lead vocals. Mud have not changed at all
and were great live, and as for Suzi Quatro..well what can I say..!!!

Ok, I was the one who put in .8 and asked for some GOSSIP :-), and 15

I think it would be a blast from the past to go to a night club and
relive the Roller days :-), but a few notes back, someone mentioned a
TV show with a girl who was waving her scarf :-) that is a riot... I
wouldn't go that far.. but after a few drinks in me, I might start
screaming :-)
And re: .9 with my :-) marks.... I'm just a happy person what can I
say? the Rollers do it to me :-) actually I have to cover my BUTT and
make sure that people know that I'm only joking in my replies :-)

OK. Maybe they weren't so great, but I knew most of what they were

time.

What would you like to hear ? I've also heard the story about one of
the Roller boys overdosing on smt on other and waking up with a crowd
around him.
Les McKeown is now part-owner in a skittles alley in Putney holding
down a house, a wife and four children (but not necessarily in that order).
Woody emigrated to L.A. in the early 80's where he teamed up
with ex-Monkees Davy Jones and Mike Nesmith to form an acceppalla
outfit that's toured the Southern States to much praise for many years
now...blah blah...
And all Roller members regularly jet back to Scotland to tour the small
parish halls that dot the coastline and where time has stood still and
in every lassie's heart it's still summer '74 and we're all just godfrey
about `summer love sensation'....and we ran with the gang...(Oh shut up!!

Les McKeown sang the theme song to a TV series soap type thing
about horse racing, here in Germany last year (or was it the
year before). It was released as a single, the song was terrible
but the video was quite good. Don't know if it was released
anywhere else though.

Ok, when I said that the Rollers do it to me... I didn't mean it in
that sence of the word :-), I mean Sh*T! that would be BEYOND desperate
;-) and even though I'm still single, I haven't hit that yet! I think
I was thinking back of when I was 13 :-).
Anyway, back to the cheap gossip :-) I wanted something on the 2
brothers Alan and Derek, they seemed to be the only normal ones at the
time, I mean their hair didn't stick up :-), and I think their pant
legs were a tad bit longer then the others :-).
Actually the only really nice descent popular song they sang that was a
hit over here in the states was "The Way I feel tonigh" Remember that
one? Then after that they faded away... almost like Twin Peaks did :-)
Maybe they killed Laura Palmer? Or maybe LEBOB is an angry X-Roller
fan...... We could go places with this one....

They were 28 when they found out that they were twins all along.
